Privacy Policy

Romantasy is an adults-only interactive fiction service operated by Drastic AB. Its characters, messages, voices, and images are fictional and may be created or adapted with generative AI. They are not real people and do not provide professional advice.

Information we process

  • Account, session, age-confirmation, profile, preference, and onboarding data.
  • Your chats, relationship state, memories, reactions, matches, and safety signals.
  • Custom-character descriptions and the private images generated for your character.
  • Public-character creator names, visibility choices, content reports, and creator blocks.
  • Purchase, entitlement, gem-balance, refund, restore, and transaction records.
  • App diagnostics, feature use, device/platform data, and coarse attribution events.

Please do not put sensitive personal information into fictional chats or character descriptions. Romantasy does not ask for precise location, contacts, health records, or a government identifier.

How we use information

We use information to run authentication, personalize and continue stories, generate fictional responses and private character media, provide purchases, prevent abuse, support users, measure reliability, and meet accounting or legal duties. We do not sell chat content or generated private images.

Service providers and tracking

We use infrastructure and specialist providers for hosting and storage (Cloudflare and our PostgreSQL provider), AI text and image generation (OpenAI and Fal), purchases and paywalls (Apple and Superwall), and product measurement or attribution (PostHog and AppsFlyer when configured). These providers process only the information needed for their function under their own security and data-processing terms.

On iOS, advertising attribution or cross-company tracking is enabled only after the AppTrackingTransparency choice permits it. Denying or restricting tracking does not block authentication, stories, chats, or purchases.

Retention and account deletion

Deleting your account immediately removes live authentication, profile, session, conversation, memory, custom-character, balance, and Romantasy entitlement data. Private custom-character images are queued for deletion from object storage. Apple retains your Apple purchase history under Apple’s policies.

  • A content-free safety record may retain only category, severity, action, and timestamps for up to 12 months. User identifiers, chat identifiers, text, and metadata are removed.
  • A scrubbed commerce record may retain transaction/event identifiers, event type, processing state, and timestamps for up to seven years where required for accounting, refunds, chargebacks, or fraud defense. User identifiers, raw payloads, and processing errors are removed.
  • One aggregate account-deleted audit event may retain only its timestamp and retention contract version for up to 13 months.

Deleted data may remain temporarily in encrypted disaster-recovery backups for the provider’s bounded configured backup window. Backups are not used for ordinary processing, and deletions must be re-applied after a restore.

Your choices and contact

You can delete your account in Profile → Account. You may also request access, correction, or privacy help at privacy@drastic.dev. Depending on where you live, you may complain to your local data-protection authority.

Children

Romantasy is for adults aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly offer it to children.
