Romantasy guide

What is interactive romance fiction?

Interactive romance fiction is a story you help write through choices or free-form replies. In Romantasy, an AI-assisted fictional adult character sends the opening message, you answer in your own words, and the private relationship story changes in response.

How is it different from a romance novel?

A novel has a fixed lead and a fixed sequence. Interactive fiction waits for your input. Your reply can accept an invitation, question a claim, set a limit, change the subject, or leave a message unanswered. The next part of the story should respond to that choice instead of moving through one set script.

How do free-form replies work?

Romantasy does not limit every turn to preset buttons. You can write the reply you want. A character may answer with several short messages, ask a new question, or open a scene based on the current relationship. Date scenes may also offer clear choices when a decision needs them.

What does character memory mean?

A character can use relevant details from your shared chat later. That may include a preference, a choice, or a point of conflict that matters to the story. Memory belongs to that relationship: one character cannot read another character’s chat, and recall is not a promise that every detail will appear again.

Are the characters, photos, and voices real?

No. Romantasy characters are fictional adults. Their messages, voices, and images may be made or adapted with generative AI. They are not real people, and they do not offer medical, legal, financial, or emergency advice. Private media appears inside the fictional relationship when the story and your access allow it.

Is Romantasy private and who is it for?

Romantasy is for adults aged 18 and over. Chats and private generated media are tied to your account rather than a public character page. Do not place sensitive personal data in a fictional chat. Read the Privacy Policy for the full data rules or visit Support for help.
