How AI romance works in Romantasy

Romantasy turns a romance premise into an exchange you help shape. The loop is simple: choose a character, answer in your own words, and let later moments respond to the relationship so far.

1. Choose a character and starting tension

Start with a curated adult character and a clear relationship premise. Romance types help compare pace, setting, pursuit, conflict, and what a meaningful repair would require.

Romantasy character card for Silas with protective and slow-burn romance tags.
Choose from curated adult AI characters by premise, pace, and the kind of tension you want.

2. Reply in your own words

A character may text first, ask a question, or open a situation. You can answer directly, tease, disagree, set a boundary, or take the conversation somewhere else.

The app sends your words into the current story context. It does not ask you to choose from a fixed list on every turn.

3. Carry relevant details forward

Selective memory can bring back a preference, promise, or point of tension when it becomes relevant. This helps the next exchange build on the same relationship rather than return to the first meeting.

Memory is specific to the relationship and does not promise perfect recall.

Romantasy chat where Alexander recalls that the harbor bells make the user feel safe.
A later reply calls back to a detail from the same relationship instead of restarting the story.

4. Move through choices, conflict, and repair

Progress is not only a rising score. A character can make a poor choice, hear your response, and need to repair the specific problem. Dates and other story moments can offer clear controls when consent to continue matters.

Romantasy chat where Xaden offers a date with Not yet and Go on date choices.
A date starts only after the user chooses to continue.

5. Keep control of the pace

You can slow down, change the subject, reject a suggestion, or stop the current scene. A clear limit should change the next action. Chemistry and drama do not remove your choice.

Romantasy is private entertainment for adults aged 18 and over on iPhone. Do not place sensitive personal data in a chat.

What changes, and what does not

Questions about how AI romance works

Is AI romance the same as a fixed romance story?

No. A fixed story follows lines written in advance. Romantasy accepts free-form replies and can use relevant relationship details in later chat.

Does the character remember every message?

No. Memory is selective and specific to one relationship. One character cannot read another character's chat.

Can I stop or change a romantic scene?

Yes. You can change the subject, reject a suggestion, set a limit, or stop the current scene.

Can the character text first?

Yes. A character can open a conversation or follow up as part of the relationship story.
