How we compared the apps

We used the same five-part rubric for every app. We read current official homepages, product pages, and official store listings where they added a clear platform or feature fact. A product claim tells you what the company says; it does not prove how well the feature works in a long chat.

How to choose an AI boyfriend app

1. Pick the product shape first

Choose a romance-first app if you want the product to supply pursuit, conflict, dates, and story structure. Choose a broad character platform if you care more about range, community creations, or making many kinds of characters.

2. Decide how much setup you want

A curated cast gets you into a defined premise fast. A custom builder gives you more control but asks you to write the traits and backstory. A community catalog gives you more choice, while each creator may set a different standard.

3. Test continuity instead of trusting one memory line

Share one harmless preference, change it later, and return to it after several topics. Check whether the character recalls the latest fact, admits uncertainty, and keeps the same relationship context. Do not use sensitive personal data as a test.

4. Check control and account terms before paying

Try a clear no, a topic change, chat deletion, and account deletion. Then read the current privacy policy and store purchase terms for your region. A marketing page cannot show how every live reply or account action will work.
